Unsealed road network review: community feedback

30th July 2020

Unsealed roads review

Council is conducting a major review of the unsealed road network and is particularly keen to hear from farmers about the rural unsealed roads across our region.

Through this review we aim to understand:

*          Whether we have the right category (and therefore level of service) for each road;

*          Which roads we may be under/over servicing;

*          The appetite for lowering the categories of under-used roads to potentially allow more targeted investment in higher use routes;

*          Whether there are any roads that are surplus to community need.

This fact sheet provides important information to help you understand the various categories of road, the current levels of service Council provides and the cost in doing so.

We would greatly appreciate you spending some time reading the information and filling in this feedback form. Please submit your responses by Monday 17 August 2020Submit your feedback form online here.

Your feedback will help us with our discussions at a series of workshops we are holding to help with our planning. Please click on the feedback link above if you would like to register your interest in attending one of the workshops. Note: due to COVID-19 restrictions, workshop places may be limited.

The Council team is looking forward to working with you to improve our road network plan and ensure our roads best meet our community’s needs into the future.
