NOMINATIONS ARE NOW OPEN.

Do you know an individual who helps make the Wakefield region great? Or a community group which has made a big difference to local people’s lives?

Each year we hold Australia Day Citizen of the Year Awards to honour individuals and organisations that have made a voluntary contribution to our community.

 


 

The awards recognise people in three categories:

Citizen of the Year Award:
  • To be eligible, the person must be an Australian Citizen.
Young Citizen of the Year Award:
  • To be eligible, the person must be an Australian Citizen and must be 30 years of age or less on 26 January in the year of the award presentation.
Community Event of the Year Award:
  • This is presented to the person/group who has staged the most outstanding community event during the past year.
