Removal/felling of trees in burnt areas

Print Page

A new permit is now available for property owners in fire affected areas who wish to remove or prune roadside dead trees.

While rules remain in place to protect native vegetation and habitat, the new permit means local land owners can take measures to minimise risks posed by the dead trees and also remove burnt vegetation that scars the landscape.

You can find the permit below.

Section 221 Permit - Post fire tree removal(117 kb)

The permit relates only to trees in burnt areas.
