Balaklava Apex Park
Project overview
The Apex Park Master Plan aims to create a community and family focussed outdoor space, increasing visitation and encouraging healthy lifestyles through outdoor recreation. The plan will look into opportunities for a new community facility that will service both the transformed Balaklava Swimming Pool and other park users.
Balaklava’s Apex Park is a popular regional recreation zone that includes the Balaklava Swimming Pool, a nature playground, skate park, traditional playground, public toilets, community garden, BMX track, picnic areas, lawn bowls and caravan park.
Council has engaged JPE Design to develop a master plan to better integrate and upgrade the facilities, improve access and open up the landscape to more community enjoyment.
We thank everyone who has provided feedback on this project. This will be incorporated into the final master plan which will include costings for the various elements. Detailed design and documentation will also be prepared for a new community building that will serve the transformed pool and other park users.
