Removal/felling of trees in burnt areas

A new permit is now available for property owners in fire affected areas who wish to remove or prune roadside dead trees.

While rules remain in place to protect native vegetation and habitat, the new permit means local land owners can take measures to minimise risks posed by the dead trees and also remove burnt vegetation that scars the landscape.

1.  Download and fill in the permit below:

Section 221 Permit - Post fire tree removal

NOTE: This permit relates only to trees in burnt areas.

2. Lodge with Council

Send the permit to Council or bring into our office on Scotland Place, Balaklava, for processing.
