Council acknowledges our duty of care to all persons who may be at our workplaces including contractors and sub-contractors. Council has an obligation to ensure that people and the natural environment are not exposed to hazards or damage and that a safe workplace is provided so far as is reasonably practicable.
This Online Contractor WHS Induction is provided as a general guide to Council's WHS systems and procedures and will assist you in setting a standard for safe work and minimising risk whilst working on our sites. It does not attempt to provide all the information. All contractors/suppliers must ensure WHS legislative compliance is met through their own management systems*.
All contractors, their employees and any sub-contractors who are engaged to perform works are required to successfully complete the Online Contractor Induction Program.
This training will take approximately 30 minutes to complete. If you have questions on completion of the induction, please contact the Council office on (08) 8862 0800.There is no cost to do the induction and your induction will be valid for two (2) years.

Please note, you will also be required to supply all relevant current copies of insurances, including public liability, workers compensation (where you employ a person coming on to site) and professional indemnity. Copies of any relevant trade’s certificates or high risk licenses are also required. Site inductions will also still be required.
