Ralli Park Sporting Precinct
Project overview
Our Wakefield 2030 Community Plan aims to promote active and healthy lifestyles through the provision of quality sport and recreation facilities.
Ralli Sport and Recreation Park (Ralli Park) is the main sporting facility in Balaklava and managed by the Ralli Sports and Recreation Park Authority, an incorporated body that represents the sporting and community bodies of:
- Cricket (indoor and outdoor)
- Australian Rules Football
- Tennis
- Netball
- Hockey
- Basketball
- Show Society
Located on the northern part of the town, the precinct is a major sporting destination for the community and also home to the Balaklava Show. The site has developed in a relatively ad hoc manner and as such Council is undertaking a master plan which will guide a sustainable and realistic development of the site based on current and future priorities.
The renewal and upgrade of the Ralli Park Sports Precinct is a priority action of Wakefield 2030 and Council has engaged 180 Sports & Leisure to develop a master plan for the site.
We thank everyone who has provided feedback on this project and we look forward to updating you further in the near future.
