Bounce into Youth Week with Wakefield
Council’s Youth Week events will return for 2024 celebrating our region’s youth with free events in Snowtown and Balaklava.
Council’s Community Wellbeing Officer, Taryn Hall is encouraging local youth from across the region to come out and enjoy the free events.
“As our council is spread across a large area, we will be hosting two free events to cater for young people one in the north and one in the south of our council region,” Ms Hall said.
“Both events will feature a large inflatable obstacle course, giant lawn games, music and refreshments, providing a great vibe for young people to come together in these two locations,” Ms Hall said
The Youth Week celebration in Snowtown will be on March 15, from 3.30pm at the Snowtown Oval and Balaklava’s Youth Week celebration will be the following Friday, March 22, from 3pm at Ralli Park on the Oval.
Council benefitted from $2000 of funding from the South Australian Government’s Youth Week grants to support both events.
Previously Council has been fortunate enough to benefit from the Youth Week funding for the five previous events, which helps activate these events for local youth within Wakefield.
