Brian Eime elected for North Ward position

Published 15th August 2024

Brian Eime has been elected unopposed to fill the vacant position in Wakefield Regional Council’s North Ward, replacing Councillor Denni Agnew.

Councillor Eime is a Blyth local, serving on local community committees and sporting groups as a volunteer, with his efforts recognised in 2018 when he was presented the Citizen of the Year award.

Mayor Rodney Reid said he was looking forward to Councillor Eime joining the chamber and becoming a part of Council.

“Brian has been a volunteer for many years throughout the Blyth community and to see him take the next step to represent his community within the chamber is excellent for both Blyth and the North Ward of our Council,” Mayor Reid said.

“I’d like to welcome Councillor Eime to our chamber on behalf of Council Members and employees, we look forward to working with you.

Councillor Eime will be sworn in as a Councillor prior to the July 24 council meeting.
