It’s a case of new year, new look for Wakefield Regional Council with the launch of its new customer-friendly website - www.wrc.sa.gov.au.
‘Quick search options’ and ‘easy navigation’ were the top things the community told Council it wanted for the new site - and Wakefield has delivered.
“The new website will help users find what they’re seeking faster and easier with a simplified home page, displaying our most popular pages, and with more of an emphasis on promoting the latest community news, Council activities and events,” Mayor Reid said.
“People can still find important information like Council meeting agendas and minutes but the most requested pages are now just a click or two away thanks to the front page boxes.
“The new website is a one-stop-shop for people living within, working in or visiting the region and, as we build the site, we hope the information can also help entice more people to our incredible part of South Australia.
“This website should be a more vibrant, simple experience that helps connect the community to valuable information about Council activities, local services and opportunities to get involved in shaping their world.
“It’s also been designed to be accessible via smart phones.”
WRC CEO Jason Kuchel said Council’s approach was to structure the website from the point of view of customers rather than reflect its internal structure.
Visitors to the website are encouraged to provide feedback by dropping an email to admin@wrc.sa.gov.au. This feedback will be used to help refine and improve the site wherever possible.
