Quinlans Bridge is located on Lookout Road, a Category 6 road that is not accessible in wet conditions.

The bridge is load limited to 5 tonne and has been temporarily closed to traffic due to its deteriorating condition.

Council has endorsed the decommissioning of Quinlan’s Bridge. This means a portion of Lookout Road to be closed under the Roads (Opening and Closing) Act 1993.

A copy of the plan can be viewed at[http://%20www.sa.gov.au/roadsactproposals] www.sa.gov.au/roadsactproposals or the plan is available for public inspection at the Council office or the Surveyor-General’s office during normal office hours.

As part of the roads closure process, Council is required to undertake community consultation and invite any interested parties to make a submission to the proposal if they so wish.

Any objection or application for easement is to be made in writing to the Council and a copy forwarded to the Surveyor-General at GPO Box 1815 Adelaide 5001.

The submission must include the full name, address and details of the submission and must be fully supported by reasons and received by Council by 3 pm Tuesday, 24 December 2024.
