Wakefield’s Farming Mates Muster – An Evening of Connection, Footy Legends and Farming Insight
Farmers and regional residents are invited to come together for a night of mateship, motivation and mental wellbeing at the Wakefield’s Farming Mates Muster, to be held on Monday, June 23, at the Lochiel Community Centre from 6pm to 8.30pm.
This free community event brings together an exciting lineup of speakers, including former AFL star and current media personality Bernie Vince, who will deliver the keynote address.
Vince will be joined by presentations from former Adelaide Crow and Fat Farmers ambassador, Brett Burton, Grain Producers SA Chair John Gladigau, and BeWellCo Wellbeing Specialist, Esme Fabry.
Hosted by Wakefield Regional Council and supported by PIRSA’s Connected Communities Program, the Farming Mates Muster aims to strengthen community connections, spark meaningful conversations, and support the wellbeing of those in the farming and rural sectors.
“There is a deeper understanding of the value of connection in regional communities, particularly in those tougher times,” WRC Mayor Rodney Reid said.
“Our farming community is the social and economic backbone of this region, so the underlying health theme of the evening speaks to that.”
Catering will be provided by the Rising Sun Hotel, and a licensed bar will be available on the night.
Bookings are essential as space is limited—so get in early to secure your spot.
