An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Cadet or Graduate Building Surveyor to start their Building Surveying career with our Development & Regulatory team. The successful applicant will be recently qualified or working towards a qualification and accreditation in Building Surveying, to assist with building and development assessments and inspections across the Council region.

With developing knowledge and understanding, you will primarily assist with:

* Compliance with the Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act 2016, associated Regulations, National Construction Code, and other associated legislation
* Investigation and inspection of building work and other regulatory control matters.
* Lodgement, assessment and processing of development applications in accordance with statutory requirements using the Plan SA DAP.
* Providing quality customer service and professional development and building advice to internal and external stakeholders, including educating and advising the public and industry on matters relating to development within the Wakefield Regional Council region.
